Olfaction: Virtue

為什麼我們互動的如此密切，卻距離彼此越來越遠呢？

嗅覺是我們在母親子宮裡發展完全的感官，九個月後，瞬間失去臍帶連結母體的我們在未知裡依循著氣味的記憶摸索，終於在吸吮母親乳房時才產生了安全感的初體驗。在這個未知的星球裡嗅覺就是那最初始的愛與恐懼探測儀。

這就是生命經驗，我們持續在恐懼與愛的交替包圍下，認識自己。

How is that we have such intense interactions, but still seem to have grown further apart?

Our olfactory systems are fully developed in the wombs of our mothers. After nine months, we are suddenly detached from the connection to our mothers, and we begin to explore the unknown world by tracing scents from our memories. It is only when we suckle milk from our mother’s breasts do we begin to sense feelings of safety and security.

On this strange world, our sense of smell is the most primal detector of love and fear. It is this experience that helps us to “know thyself”.

視覺：本質

Vision: Essence

眼睛本身就是大腦。後來這個大腦開始特化，向外推擠出的兩個水晶小球體。它們參與了大腦裡從完全黑暗到進入光明的過程。而光包含了各種顏色，顏色則是從黑暗與光明的互動產生。我們的視覺帶著我們看見這世界裡的色彩，太陽輻射出的光芒為我們展示大自然的神奇，讓我們體驗到外表底下的內在本質，而蠟燭曖曖的光火則是在暗夜低吟時與本質的光，相互輝映。

In the earliest stages of our formation, our eyes are actually developed as a part of the brain. Later, the brain begins to transform, protruding outward to form two small crystal balls that journey from darkness into light along with the brain. Light includes all spectrum of colors, and colors are formed from the interaction between darkness and light. Our vision allows us to perceive the colors of the world, while light from the sun radiates to illustrate the majestic qualities of nature and empower us to experience the truth underneath the world’s appearances. The dim glow of candlelight whispers the essence of light that is reflected against the night.
